Shottie has no account, no analytics and no cloud. Your screenshots, recordings, camera and microphone never leave your Mac.

The app

• Captures, recordings, text recognition and captions are all processed on your Mac. Nothing is uploaded.
• When you activate your license, Shottie sends shottie.app your license key and a one-way hash of your Mac's hardware ID, so the license can count its two Macs. That happens once per Mac, and again only if you deactivate.
• To check for updates, Shottie downloads a small file from shottie.app listing the latest version. It sends no information about you or your Mac.

Buying Shottie

Payments go through Stripe. Stripe collects your payment details under its own privacy policy; we never see your card number. We receive your name, email address, country and the status of your payment, and we keep them to deliver and support your license and for tax records.

The website

shottie.app uses no analytics and no tracking cookies. The free browser tools process images in your browser and never upload them. Our host, Vercel, keeps standard server logs, such as IP addresses, for security.
